One Simple Trick to Free Your Mind

The moment that judgment stops through acceptance of what is, you are free of the mind. You have made room for love, for joy, for peace.”  ~ Eckhart Tolle

The importance of practicing non-judgment.

Judgment towards yourself or another is a negative striking emotion.  Science tells us that we are constantly narrating and judging our own thoughts, which then bleeds into how we might connect with one another.  It's common to hear "every person is fighting an uphill battle", and it couldn't be more true.

We never know what someone is dealing with in their life at the moment we engage with them. This is why it is vital to practice non-judgment.

It is beautiful how many different perspectives, values, and angles life is lived through all the unique individuals that make up our planet's population.

Feelings of judgment closes us up.

However, being an observer, opens up our hearts, our feelings and intuition and creates room for growth and acceptance, towards ourselves, which then ripples into the world.  Imagine what life might be if we truly practiced non-judgement.

We have a little challenge for you this week.

Do your best to be aware of your thoughts (a first step towards acceptance of what is).  A little trick we like to use, carry a PENNY in your pocket, every time you feel that penny, remember to be aware of your thought and if it is negative, flip that thought into a positive one, and flip that penny into your other pocket.  Before you know it, you will be having more positive thoughts, that leads to more acceptance and less judgement, which ultimately leads to contentment and joy.
